Since moving from Tulsa, Oklahoma to New York City in 2003, Cathy has served as rehearsal pianist and/or pit pianist for the Broadway productions of Les Miserables, Aladdin, The Visit, Cinderella, Evita, Curtains, Anything Goes, The Light in the Piazza, Sondheim on Sondheim, Wonderful Town, Beauty and the Beast, The Apple Tree, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, in addition to Where's Charley? at Encores! She was the solo pianist for the 2012 lab premiere of The Landing, by John Kander and Greg Pierce, at The Vineyard Theater in Manhattan. She was the Associate Conductor for the National Tour of The Sound of Music from 2015-2017, Keyboard One for the National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera from 2017-2019, and from 2019-2020 as the Associate Conductor for the National Tour of FROZEN.
Cathy has also been a pianist for The Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic, the Yale University Graduate Opera Program, Hartt School of Music, New York's Singing Policeman Daniel Rodriguez, Salt Marsh Opera, Blue Hill Troupe, Amore Opera, Vertical Players Repertory Opera and Light Opera Oklahoma/LOOK Musical Theatre in Tulsa. At New Jersey City University, Cathy has been the recital accompanist for guest artists Dave Taylor, Philadelphia Orchestra members Sam Caviezel and Jeffrey Khaner, and NY Phil clarinetist Marc Nuccio. During her years in Tulsa, she was pianist for the Tulsa Oratorio chorus, Tulsa Philharmonic, Tulsa Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, and Staff Accompanist for the University of Tulsa.
Also a mezzo-soprano, Cathy has appeared as soloist in New York City with St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church Choir, the What a Neighborhood New Composers Series, and in Tulsa with the Council Oak Chorale, Tulsa Philharmonic, Tulsa Signature Symphony, Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, and the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church Chancel Choir.
Cathy appeared in recital at Carnegie's Weill Hall in 2008 with tenor Brian Cheney and in 2012 with pianist Steven Ryan in the American premiere of Robin Holloway's Gilded Goldbergs for two pianos. She was a Staff Pianist for the American Institute for Vocal Studies in Paris. She has conducted Hello, Dolly! at LOOK Musical Theatre in Tulsa, Sweeney Todd at Teatro LaTea in NYC, and Amahl and the Night Visitors in Tulsa.
Cathy is a graduate of Northwestern University in Piano Performance and she received her Master's Degree in Accompanying from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She currently serves as pianist for Harvard Avenue Christian Church, Tulsa Chorale and the Tulsa Symphony.
